The Integrated Sexual and Reproductive Health Programme Officer will support the implementation of the UNFPA Country Programme in delivering quality Family Planning, maternal health, ISRH services aligned with the UNFPA strategic plan, the business model and national policy framework.
The incumbent evaluates the soundness of strategies developed in the areas of Family Planning, SRH and maternal health in the context of national strategies and standards and advises the country office and national counterparts accordingly. S/he will coordinate implementation of the project funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
S/He will support the country office efforts to create and document knowledge about current and emerging SRH issues, by analyzing programmes, projects, strategies, approaches and ongoing experiences for lessons learned, best practices, for use in knowledge sharing and planning future strategies.
S/He will work closely with staff in the county office and regions to facilitate smooth programme delivery on SRHR. S/He will lead development of work plans, proposals, manage implementing partners, provide technical assistance to IPs, and engage in different national working groups.
S/He will report to the SRHR programme specialist of UNFPA Ethiopia Country Office.
