As part of scaling up its response to the humanitarian crisis in northern Ethiopia, UNFPA is implementing tailored activities addressing the general interruption of SRH/GBV services to restore pre-crisis capacity through government health facilities and the humanitarian partners on the ground. UNFPA has presence in Mekelle (Tigray), Semera (Afar) and Bahir Dar (Amhara) with 16 deployed International Surge Capacity Specialists and 6 National Specialists for the Tigray Response.
