UNFPA is strengthening peace and resilience in Ethiopia by placing women and youth at the centre of dialogue and decision-making. Through the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) and Youth, Peace and Security (YPS) Agendas, UNFPA supports community-led conflict resolution, empowerment, and inclusion. Working with government, civil society, and local leaders, UNFPA has established Community Peace Dialogue Committees to mediate disputes, promote cohesion, and prevent violence. By integrating peacebuilding into its work on gender equality, health, and rights, UNFPA helps build safer, more inclusive communities where women and youth drive sustainable peace.
